DOBIE MAXWELL '“ MR. LUCKY COMES TO TOWN FOR ANOTHER GREAT WEEKEND OF COMEDY.

Dobie has appeared on national television on CBS’s ‘The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson’ and Byron Allen’s ‘Comics.TV’. He’s also been featured on too many local and regional television programs to list. Dobie is a seasoned pro.

A native of Milwaukee, WI – Dobie has traveled North America countless times as a touring comic and has shared the bill with such notables as Jeff Foxworthy, Jay Leno, Drew Carey, Rosie O’Donnell, Robin Williams and many many others.

‘Mr. Lucky’ is now a rock solid headliner himself, even though he’s had more than his share of bad breaks along the way to slow him down. He has chosen to take advantage of this less than stellar situation, and mine it for comedic effect.

“I don’t really need to write jokes.” Dobie says. “Life has thrown enough darts at me where all I have to do is just report what’s gone on in the recent or distant past, and audiences start to laugh. It’s pretty easy.” And, laugh they do – loudly!

   Dobie has also been successfully teaching comedy classes since 1995, and is known for ‘The Maxwell Method of Standup Comedy’ – a course that has been designed to help people of all levels of experience learn the craft. He also writes an insightful daily chronicle of a comedian‘s life called ‘The Dented Can Diary‘.
